SmartSkim Rolls Out "The Boss" Magnetic Separator

SmartSkim is pleased to announce the addition of "The Boss" to it's line of high powered rare-earth magnetic separators for industrial fluids.   The Boss is a 10,000 gauss rated magnetic that has the ability to remove sub-micron ferrous fines from a variety of applications.     The Boss can be used to improve and extend the life of machining coolants, quench fluids, and parts washer baths.

The Boss is designed to be installed into existing or newly installed bag filter housings.   The Boss is currently available for size #2 housings.   The standard unit can handle fluid temperatures up to 175F.  In addition to improved and extended fluid life, The Boss will greatly reduce the amount of consumable filter bags that are used in your operations.  After implementing The Boss, one large automotive customer went from changing out a 20 micron bag filter on a broaching operation from once every 40 minutes to once every 24 hours.

SmartSkim Introduces New High Pressure Magnetic Filter

SmartSkim is pleased to announce the rollout of the Micromag HP50 in-line high pressure magnetic filter. This new filter can handle applications up to 725 PSI. With it's superior aluminum housing design, the Micromag HP50 is the perfect fit for through-spindle-coolant applications, where the smallest of particles can damage seals, spindles and even reduce the efficiency of the cutting tool. The Micromag HP50 is available in 3 sizes, with load capacities of 2.2 to 8.8 lbs.

SmartSkim at BOI Fair in Thailand

Originally scheduled for November, the BOI Fair was rescheduled due to the massive flooding that occurred throughout Thailand. SmartSkim Introduces New Portable Coolant Recycler

SmartSkim Retrofits Existing Equipment

Do you have an oil water separator that you don’t use to its capacity due to poor skimming techniques? In addition to bringing life to underutilized oil water separators, SmartSkim has done extensive work with equipment used to recycle machining coolants. SmartSkim has been able to re-start systems that were shut-down due to the high cost of maintenance. Coolant recycling systems with centrifuge technology often sit idle due to a maintenance staff’s inability to keep up with the constant cleaning requirements of centrifuges. “We’ll replace the centrifuge with our low maintenance, all stainless steel coalescer. Customers notice no real change in performance, but a significant reduction in maintenance,” commented Gimbel. “We also have rare-earth magnetic products that do a great job of removing metallic fines. Metallic fines can do extensive damage to tooling if not removed from dirty coolant. Many older recycling systems were built prior to today’s rare-earth technologies.”

SmartSkim Annouces Asia Pacific Partnership

SmartSkim announced a partnership with C.S. Engineering of Thailand to promote and sell it's coolant recycling systems through the Asia Pacific region. "C.S. Engineering will be both a user and distributor of our coolant recycling systems. C.S.
